Blairmore Pier is a 170 year-old heritage structure listed by Historic Scotland. It offers couples a truly unique and historic setting for their special day. Perfect for those looking for either a unique, low-key, D-I-Y, wee wedding or elopement, in a beautiful setting.
The Bothy
Located at the hammerhead end of the pier, our heritage bothy provides an indoor option for your special day.
From signing the register, sheltering from the weather, an intimate picnic or celebratory drinks - the bothy is a secluded spot to suit your needs.

When calculating how long you need for your private hire, please consider how long you need for any set up time (decoration) and clearing up after your event.
We operate a ‘leave no trace’ policy so politely request that the pier is returned to the state you found it in.
The pier will be closed to the public for your exclusive use for the duration of your hire.
Without Bothy access: £60 per hour
With Bothy access: £80 per hour, including electricity costs

We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date. For legal ceremonies, you must register your ceremony with Argyll & Bute Council at least 29 days prior to your wedding date.

No, all items for your wedding must be sourced by you or your wedding planner - giving you complete freedom to DIY your dream wee wedding!

This is Scotland - so we recommend putting a contingency plan in place! You can hire the bothy to take shelter, you’re welcome to arrange a gazebo, you could book The Old Ticket Office, or use the adjacent village hall.

Yes you must arrange your own wedding insurance, which includes public liability insurance.
